Historical Mapping Project Samples
Aeroquest Mapcon was contracted to generate 25 cm orthophotography from historical aerial imagery from the early 1980's for 1777 km². Aerial triangulation was performed and an existing DEM was modified to suit the older imagery.

Aeroquest Mapcon was contracted to perform historical mapping on aerial imagery from 1922, 1949, 1959, 1963, 1979 and 1986 for the same project area to analyze change in land use over time. All of the imagery was aerial triangulated and DEM was collected utilizing all the available stereo pairs. The rectifications ranged in pixel resolution from 8 cm to 35 cm depending on the original scale of photography. The source imagery originated from scanned paper prints and scanned film negatives.
