Photogrammetrist - Aerial Triangulation Specialist, Coquitlam BC
Aeroquest Mapcon is looking for a photogrammetrist with an aerial triangulation background. Experience in geodesy, photogrammetric mapping, statistics and technical writing are essential for this position. The candidate must show demonstrable skills in clear and concise verbal and written communication.
Requirements / Responsibilities
American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) certification preferred. A candidate with equivalent schooling, experience and the desire to complete ASPRS certification would be considered
University degree or diploma in geomatics engineering, mathematics or related area
5+ years of experience
Survey experience preferred but not necessary
Detail oriented with high organizational skills
Ability to manage simultaneous projects
Reporting directly to the senior project manager, the aerial triangulation specialist will be responsible for generating block adjustments and providing expert knowledge in photogrammetry on a day-to-day basis with a solid understanding of land survey.
Planning and organizing all aspects of the aerial triangulation process including point mensuration and block adjustments.
Assists the project manager during the sales-to-project management handover and ensures the necessary information is available to produce products and meet the project specifications.
To provide technical support for the proposal team and coordinate quality control procedures, naming conventions, trouble-shooting and quality control.
To provide instruction to aerial acquisition teams and land surveyors
Have excellent stereo vision
Be familiar with accuracy standards and measurements
Be familiar with imagery formats and types including large format digital aerial cameras, satellite imagery, and scanned film for historical projects
Be comfortable troubleshooting software
The candidate should be familiar with many of the following software packages:
BINGO, inBLOCK, UltraMap, Match-AT, ISAT, ISDM, ISSD, ISDC, PATB-NT, Global Mapper, Google Earth, Corpscon, TextPad, MicroStation, ARC/INFO, Word, Excel, Windows
